The title of this recipe speaks for itself! It is the best! You just have to try it and taste it yourself! My only advice to you is to be very generous with the amount of cheese that you are going to add. Yeah, just do it and thank me later! Remember, everything is awesome with cheese! Anyway, feel free to add more ingredients if you want. Have a great day, everyone. Enjoy!
1 pound ground beef
16 ounces can, refried beans
1 cup chunky salsa
1 package taco seasoning
2 cups crushed tortilla chips plus a little more for topping
2 cups Mexican cheese blend shredded cheese
1 large tomato, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
2 cups shredded lettuce
Step 1: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 2: Add the ground beef and cook until crumbly and brown. Discard any excess grease.
Step 3: Add the taco seasoning, salsa, and refried beans. Stir and cook for 5 more minutes, then remove the skillet from the heat.
Step 4: Add 2 cups of tortilla chips to the bottom of a 9×13-inch casserole dish and spread it evenly.
Step 5: Spread the meat mixture on top of the tortilla chips.
Step 6: Add a generous amount of cheese, 1/2 green onions, and 1/2 of chopped tomatoes on top.
Step 7: Place the casserole dish inside and bake for about 20 minutes at 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 8: Remove the casserole dish inside the oven.
Step 9: Add the rest of the tomatoes, lettuce, chips, and green onions on top.
Step 10: Top everything with more cheese.
Step 11: Serve warm and enjoy!
