These are the softest, moist cookies I’ve made! One bite and you are on your way to chocolate heaven! These chocolate chip cookies are very chocolatey, perfectly chewy, and gooey, and will no doubt satisfy your cravings. These badass cookies are super easy to make using just a few basic ingredients. You can make them just the right size or larger depending on your preference.
INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp cornstarch
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ c. cold butter (1 stick of butter is usually 1/2 c.)
1¼ c. flour
6 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips – about 10-11 ounces (or 1/2 a bag if you want less chocolate)
6 tbsp granulated sugar
¼ c. walnut pieces (optional)
1 egg
How to make Chocolate Chip Cookies
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 475 degrees. Using the parchment paper, line your baking sheets.
Step 2: Place the flour, corn starch, salt, and baking soda in a small mixing bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 3: Into smaller pieces, cut the stick of butter.
Step 4: Whisk the butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Then, gently mix in the dry ingredients until well blended. Next, fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts if desired.
Step 5: To make the cookie dough balls, use a full-sized spoon. Then, place the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 6 to 7 minutes or until the top of the cookies are golden brown.
Step 6: Remove the cookies from the oven when done and allow them to cool. If you prefer the softest cookies, serve them while still warm. Enjoy!
TIP:
You can double the size of the cookie dough balls to make extra large cookies. To do this, use 2 tbsp scoops and adjust the baking time to 9 to 10 minutes.
