These delicious treats are so good that this was probably my third time to serve them this week! My kids could not get enough of how delicious these heavenly treats are, especially with a lot of cheese. Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Have a great day, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
salt and pepper, to taste
1 stick butter
5 dashes Worcestershire sauce
8 slices Swiss cheese
8 slices rye bread
1 whole large onion, halved and sliced
Directions:
1. Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-low.
2. Add 2 tbsp of butter and allow it to melt.
3. Add the onions and cook for about 20 minutes or until they caramelize. Make sure to stir from time to time to prevent them from burning.
4. Meanwhile, add the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper into a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to mix everything, then shape the mixture into 4 even patties.
5. Place another skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
6. Add 2 tbsp of butter and allow it to melt.
7. Add the patties into the skillet and cook each side for a few minutes until they turn brown.
To Assemble:
1. Top a slice of bread with a slice of cheese, patty, 1/4 of the caramelized onions, and a slice of cheese again. Top everything with the other slice of the bread. Repeat the process with the rest of the ingredients.
2. Place a griddle or skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
3. Add 2 tbsp of butter and allow it to melt.
4. Add the sandwiches, then grill until they turn golden brown on each side. Make sure to add another 2 tbsp of butter once you flipped the sandwiches.
5. Remove from the skillet onto a clean plate.
6. Slice them into two.
7. Serve and enjoy!
