Ingredients:
2 to 4 tablespoons A1 sauce depending on how strong you want the flavour
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small green pepper diced
8 ounces cremini mushrooms diced
1 small yellow onion diced
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 c beef broth
6 sesame seed, bakery hamburger buns
8 ounces provolone cheese sliced
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
2. Add the ground beef, then cook until crumbly and brown. Discard any excess fat.
3. Add the mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. Stir and cook for a few minutes until soft.
4. In a mixing bowl, add cornstarch and beef broth. Stir until well blended.
5. Add the slurry into the skillet and stir until well mixed.
6. Add the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, A1 sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended and simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Remove the skillet from the stove, then add the provolone cheese over the beef mixture and let it melt completely.
8. Serve hot on burger buns. Enjoy!
