Ingredients

Pie Crust

  • 9" pie crust store-bought or homemade, baked

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping

  • sweetened whipped cream
  • chocolate sprinkles
  • shaved chocolate bar for garnish

Instructions

  • Bake the pie crust until golden brown and set aside to cool.
  • Combine cocoa powder, sugar, corn starch, and salt in a saucepan.
  • Gradually stir in milk while whisking constantly.
  • Heat the mixture until thickened and boiling, then remove from heat.
  • Stir in butter and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  • Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled pie crust.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours or overnight.
  • Whip cream with sugar, pipe rosettes on top of the pie, and sprinkle with chocolate toppings.

Notes

Store the Chocolate Cream Pie covered in plastic wrap in the refrigerator and consume within a few days. For longer storage, freeze individual slices for later enjoyment.
