Ingredients

Quick-set Banana Pudding Mix

  • 1 package instant banana pudding mix 3.4 ounces

Other Ingredients

  • 1 can crushed pineapple 20 ounces, undrained
  • 1 tub whipped topping 8 ounces, thawed
  • 1 cup tiny marshmallows heaping cup
  • 1/2 cup walnuts finely chopped, reserve 2 tablespoons for garnish
  • 1/4 cup tiny chocolate bits reserve 1 tablespoon for garnish
  • 2 fresh bananas sliced into rounds
  • 2 jars maraschino cherries halved, 10 ounces each, drained

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant banana pudding mix with the crushed pineapple until thick.
  • Gently fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture.
  • Mix in the marshmallows, most of the walnuts, chocolate bits, banana rounds, and halved cherries.
  • Chill the salad in the fridge for about 60 minutes to enhance flavors and soften the marshmallows.
  • Before serving, sprinkle the reserved walnuts and chocolate bits on top for extra crunch and sweetness.

Notes

To maintain the freshness of the Banana Split Fluff Salad, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Add banana slices just before serving to prevent browning. This salad can be prepared a day in advance but is best enjoyed fresh.
