Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup + 1 cup for coating
  • salt pinch
  • 1 cup butter 2 sticks at room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecans finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a mixing bowl, blend 2 sticks of butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Add flour, salt, vanilla extract, and pecans to the bowl. Mix until well blended.
  • Shape the dough into 36 balls and place them on a parchment-lined or well-greased baking sheet.
  • Bake the cookies for 12 minutes and let them cool to room temperature.
  • Toss the cookies in the remaining 1 cup of powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store the Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze the cookies for up to 3 months. To reheat, simply warm them in the oven until fragrant.
