Ingredients

Ciabatta Loaf

  • unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt
  • pepper

Mozzarella Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Sharp Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  • Split the ciabatta loaf, spread butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and set aside.
  • Saute ground beef in olive oil until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  • Saute diced onion and minced garlic in the skillet.
  • Combine ketchup, water, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
  • Spread the sloppy joe mixture on the garlic bread halves. Top with cheeses and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  • Slice and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
