Ingredients

  • Milk
  • 2 cups Shredded Chicken Breast
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Carrots
  • 1 cup Celery
  • 1 cup Onion
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 pre-made Pie Crusts
  • 1 cup Green Peas
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a pie plate.
  • Line the pie plate with a pie crust.
  • Sauté onions, carrots, and celery in butter until softened in a skillet.
  • Stir in flour, then add chicken broth and milk. Whisk until smooth.
  • Mix in peas, chicken, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
  • Pour the mixture into the pie crust, top with another pie crust, and bake until golden brown.
  • Let it rest before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days and reheated in the oven. The casserole is freezer-friendly for up to 3 months. Customize the recipe with your favorite vegetables and herbs to make it your own
