Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup cane sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Sift together flour and salt in a medium bowl.
  • In a large bowl, blend together butter, cane sugar, and vanilla.
  • Beat in the egg until well combined.
  • Stir in the flour mixture and chocolate chips until evenly mixed.
  • Shape the dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  • Cool slightly and roll the warm cookies in confectioners' sugar for the classic snowball look.

Notes
