Ingredients

Dumplings

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter Adding richness to the dumplings

Instructions

  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Sauté the onion, carrots, and celery until softened.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, thyme, and bay leaf.
  • Simmer the broth and add shredded chicken.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and melted butter to form the dumpling dough.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering soup and cover to cook until fluffy.
  • Adjust seasoning, remove the bay leaf, and ladle the soup into bowls. Garnish with parsley, if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove, adding a splash of broth to maintain the soup's consistency.
