Ingredients

Ground Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef

Vegetables

  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 carrots chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped

Soup Base

  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 15 oz
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onions, carrots, celery, beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, corn, basil, oregano, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 1 ½ hours, stirring occasionally.
