Ingredients

  • Light Corn Syrup
  • 3 Large Eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1.5 cups Pecan Halves
  • 1 9-inch Deep-Dish Frozen Pie Crust

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place a cookie sheet in the oven. Combine corn syrup, beaten eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  • Stir in the pecan halves until well combined with the syrup mixture.
  • Pour the pecan filling into the frozen pie crust.
  • Place the pie on the preheated baking sheet in the center of the oven. Bake for 60-70 minutes. Cover the edges with foil if browning too quickly.
  • Test for doneness by lightly tapping the center; it should spring back when ready. Let the pie cool on a wire rack for 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For variations, try mixing in walnuts or almonds, substituting some corn syrup with maple syrup, drizzling melted chocolate on top, or adding warm spices like cinnamon or nutmeg. Pair with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, hot coffee, or caramel sauce for serving.
