Ingredients

  • Refrigerated crescent rolls (8 oz each)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pie filling, any flavor
  • powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and coat a jelly roll pan with nonstick spray.
  • Unroll one tube of crescent roll dough and press it into the pan, covering the bottom completely. Bake for 4 minutes.
  • Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread the cheese mixture over the partially baked dough, topping it with pie filling.
  • Unroll the remaining dough, arrange triangles over the filling, and bake until golden.
  • Allow the Danish to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

To store your Giant Danish, cover it with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for a few days. For longer storage, freeze individual portions in airtight containers. To reheat, place in the oven at 325°F until warmed through.
