Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey sausage
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 cup bell pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup macaroni

Instructions

  • Brown the ground turkey sausage and ground turkey in a cast-iron pan until cooked.
  • Add onion and bell pepper; sauté until soft.
  • Combine tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes; simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Stir in uncooked macaroni, cover, and simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Add butter, let stand briefly, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat with water or tomato sauce for desired consistency.
