Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 oz unsweetened Baker's chocolate
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

Instructions

  • Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in vanilla extract, Baker's chocolate, and chocolate morsels until melted. Add butter and mix until glossy.
  • Fold in chopped nuts if desired. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares.

Notes

To store Grandma's Fudge, keep it refrigerated in an airtight container. It can also be frozen for longer storage. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
