Ingredients

Olive Oil

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Patties

  • 1 lb beef (ground)
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Gravy

  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1 cup water
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, bacon, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the meat mixture into four patties. Dip each patty into flour to coat. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the patties until browned on both sides. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the onions until softened. Mix water and flour in a bowl, then add it to the skillet. Stir in the gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Add mushrooms and the patties back into the skillet. Simmer covered for 20 minutes until the patties are cooked through and the gravy is rich and flavorful.

Notes

You can customize this recipe by adding your favorite spices or vegetables to the patties. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
