Pizza Dough

  • 1 sugar
  • 1/4 cup water warm
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tsp salt

Filling

  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 garlic cloves

Instructions

  • Start by dissolving sugar in warm water. Mix yeast, flour, and water in a separate bowl and let it rest until frothy. Combine the remaining flour, cornmeal, salt, and sugar water. After mixing, add the yeast mixture. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise.
  • In a bowl, combine sausage, mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, onion, bell pepper, oregano, and garlic. Mix well to ensure even distribution of flavors.
  • Press half of the dough into a deep dish, bake the crust briefly, then add the filling and cover with the remaining dough. Bake until golden brown. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For leftovers, store the pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator. To reheat, place it in the oven at a low temperature to maintain its crispiness.
