Ingredients

  • 12 oz Egg Noodles
  • 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage
  • 2 medium Bell Peppers chopped
  • 3 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 C White Cooking Wine
  • 28 oz Canned Diced Tomatoes undrained
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Basil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Parmesan Cheese and Fresh Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the ground Italian sausage and bell peppers to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until the meat is fully browned and the peppers are slightly softened.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, add minced garlic and Italian seasoning, and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
  • Incorporate the white cooking wine and cook until the liquid is reduced by half.
  • Add diced tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  • Mix in the cooked noodles, sauté until heated through, and garnish with Parmesan cheese and parsley.

Notes

To store Italian Drunken Noodles, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer-term storage, consider freezing the noodles in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. To reheat, simply warm in a pan on the stove or microwave until heated through.
