Ingredients

  • 1 lb prepared pizza dough or frozen bread
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced capicola
  • 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (beaten with 1 tbsp water)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)

Instructions

  • Grease a baking sheet and place the pizza dough or frozen bread on it. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Roll out the dough in a rectangular shape on a floured surface.
  • Layer pepperoni, half of the cheese, capicola, and remaining cheese on the dough. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Roll tightly, brush with egg wash.
  • Place on a baking sheet, sprinkle with more seasoning and optional sesame seeds. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Italian Stromboli is customizable with various ingredients. Serve with dipping sauce for a delicious dish. Enjoy leftovers by storing them in the fridge or freezer.
