  • 1 1/2 cups Walnuts or Pecans, chopped

  • Stir in the baking soda until fully integrated.
  • Add butter and vanilla extract, stir until smooth.
  • Allow the mixture to rest for 20 minutes.
  • Stir in chopped nuts, then transfer to the baking dish.
  • Let the candy cool, then slice into squares and enjoy!
