Ingredients

Packed Brown Sugar

  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • c Butter divided and softened

Peaches

  • 2 c fresh peaches peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1 - 1/4 c flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c milk

Instructions

  • Melt 1/4 cup butter and pour into an ungreased 9-inch round baking pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and arrange peach slices on top.
  • Cream sugar and remaining butter in a bowl. Beat in egg, vanilla, and sour cream.
  • Mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  • Spoon the batter over the peaches and bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm.

Notes

For a twist, try adding nuts or swapping the extract. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freeze slices for up to 3 months, then reheat as desired.
