Ingredients

  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted
  • holiday sprinkles optional for decoration

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies cereal and crushed peppermint candies until well combined.
  • Grease your hands lightly and shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  • Dip the top of each ball into the melted chocolate. Add holiday sprinkles if desired.
  • Let the balls set at room temperature until the chocolate hardens. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store Peppermint Balls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
