Ingredients

Filling

  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 pack egg roll wrappers
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  • Combine ground pork, ground beef, onions, carrots, ginger, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Beat eggs and soy sauce together, then mix them into the meat mixture.
  • Knead the mixture and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  • Place portion of filling on each egg roll wrapper, fold, and roll tightly.
  • Fry lumpia until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve with favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace pork and beef with tofu or mushrooms. Experiment with different dipping sauces for added flavor.
