Ingredients

Apples

  • 4-5 apples sweet, firm, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup margarine or butter chopped or melted
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Combine flour, sugar, margarine/butter, egg, and salt to make the batter.
  • Place sliced apples in a 9" glass pie pan; sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  • Cover the apples with the prepared batter.
  • Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

Notes

To store Swedish Apple Pie, cover it tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For longer storage, you can freeze the pie for up to 3 months. Reheat individual slices in the microwave or oven.
