Ingredients

  • 4-5 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar for sprinkling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for sprinkling
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup margarine or butter chopped or melted
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Mix flour, 1 cup of sugar, margarine or butter, egg, and a pinch of salt together.
  • Place the peeled and sliced apples in a 9-inch glass pie pan. Sprinkle cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of sugar over them.
  • Pour the prepared batter over the apples.
  • Bake the pie at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.
  • Whether you choose to melt the butter or not, spoon the batter over the apples for a delicious outcome.

Notes

After baking, store any leftover Swedish apple pie in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can also be frozen for longer storage. To reheat the pie, place it in a preheated oven until warm.
