This recipe will only take you half an hour to prepare! The perfect dish to serve for dinner is this Beef Lo Mein, I’m telling you! It is composed of noodles, meat, veggies, and a savory sauce! A must-try recipe that you will not be disappointed with. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
12 ounces rice noodles
1/2 c low-sodium soy sauce
2 1/2 c green beans, trimmed and cut
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/4 black pepper
1/2 c brown sugar
1 carrot, grated
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 red pepper flakes
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
12 ounces flank steak, cut against the grain, then sliced into bite-size strips
1 tsp ginger, peeled & grated
Directions:
Refer to the directions provided on the package of the rice noodles on how to cook them. Drain and set aside.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the beef pieces into the hot skillet, then cook for a few minutes until they turn brown.
Add 2 1/2 cups green beans, 3 minced garlic cloves, and grated carrot. Sauté for a few minutes.
In a mixing bowl, add 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp grated ginger, and 1/2 cup soy sauce. Stir everything until well blended.
Add the drained noodles into the skillet together with the sauce. Toss the noodles until completely coated.
Remove from the heat, then sprinkle freshly chopped herbs and a drizzle of sesame oil on top.
Serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
To easily slice the flank steak, let it chill in the freezer for about half an hour.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again.
