I always make sure to cook the best dishes for my family, even on a tight budget. This casserole dish is the perfect example of it! These 4 ingredients of Hamburger Casserole will surely satisfy everyone. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 (10 ounces) cans of tomato soup
2 c shredded cheddar
1 c shredded mozzarella
1 (1 pound) box of medium pasta shells
1 pound of ground beef
1/2 c water
garlic, salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
2. Add the pasta and a bit of salt. Refer to the directions provided on the package of the pasta on how many minutes you should cook the noodles. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
3. Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
4. Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch baking dish.
5. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
6. Add the ground beef, then cook until crumbly and brown. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
7. Add tomato soup, 1/2 of the cheese, 1/2 cup of water, and the cooked pasta. Toss everything until well combined. Cook for another 3 minutes.
8. Transfer everything into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
9. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the dish.
10. Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil, then place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 20 minutes.
11. Remove the foil cover and bake for another 10 minutes. Broil for 2 minutes to slightly toast the cheese.
12. Remove from the oven and serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 3 days.
Feel free to use cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella cheese for this recipe.
