I use either canned chilis or leftover and it is equally good. I have been making this for quite some time now and the boys love it! And since the game season is fast approaching, it is only fitting to bring you this awesome, insanely delicious, savory meal. This Chili Cheese Dog Bake is a breeze to make. The ultimate comfort food. And this is for all the chili cheese hotdog lovers to enjoy.
INGREDIENTS
1 can (14 to 15 oz) chili, heated
1 can Pillsbury™ refrigerated classic pizza crust
4 Cheddar cheese sticks
4 all-beef hot dogs
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes
How to make Chili Cheese Dog Bake Dinner
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Grease with cooking spray a 9-inch square or 11 x 7-inch (2 quarts) glass baking dish.
Step 3: Pour and evenly spread the hot chili into the dish.
Step 4: Unroll and cut the dough into strips.
Step 5: Slice the cheese stick in half lengthwise and put 1 half of the cheese on each side of the hotdog.
Step 6: Wrap with pizza dough strip, slightly overlapping in the middle, the cheese and hotdog.
Step 7: Do this for the rest and when done, transfer the wrapped hotdogs over the hot chili. Make sure that chili must be hot.
Step 8: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the dough is light golden brown.
Step 9: In the meantime, place the butter in a small microwavable cup to melt in the microwave on high. Then, stir in the garlic powder and parsley.
Step 10: Once the chili dog bake is done, remove from the oven and brush the top with the melted butter mixture. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
