Yield: 1 Sandwich
A big thanks to my dear friend, Amy, for this awesome recipe! I am so glad that I gave it a try because I love it so much! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Feel free to add more ingredients if you want. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
3 Eggs
¼ c milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 slices SASKO More Slices White Bread
3 tablespoons butter, softened
2 slices sandwich ham
1/3 c grated cheese
½ spring onion, sliced
Serving suggestion:
Tomato sauce
Chopped fresh parsley and chives
Directions:
Step 1: Add the milk and eggs into a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.
Step 2: Spread butter on both sides of the sliced bread.
Step 3: Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt.
Step 5: Add the egg mixture, then add the sliced bread as well on the other side of the pan. Make sure to soak the bread into the egg.
Step 6: Turn the entire omelette and cook the other side for about a minute or until golden brown.
Step 7: Fold the four sides of the egg towards the two pieces of bread.
Step 8: Top 1 sliced bread with ham and generously sprinkle grated cheese and spring onion over the ham.
Step 9: Turn the other bread and put it over covered bread to make a sandwich.
Step 10: Cook for 1 minute on both sides or until the cheese has melted completely.
Step 11: Lift the sandwich and place it on a clean serving plate.
Step 12: Sprinkle freshly chopped herbs over the omelette.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
Note:
This French toast is best served with tomato sauce dip.
