Ingredients:
1½ tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Onion Powder
¼ tsp Black Pepper
2 – 2 ½ pounds Thick Pork Chops 4 pork chops
12 oz White Button Mushrooms sliced
2 tbsp Canola Oil
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp Flour
1½ c Chicken Broth
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
Directions:
Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well mixed. Set aside one teaspoon of the mixture for later use.
Step 2: Rub the pork chops all over with the mixed seasonings.
Step 3: Slice the mushrooms into just enough thickness.
Step 4: Place a large deep skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 5: Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 6: Add the pork chops and cook each side for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7: Remove the pork chops from the skillet to a clean plate.
Step 8: Reduce the heat to medium-low, then add butter into the same skillet. Allow the butter to melt.
Step 9: Add the mushrooms and cook for about 3 minutes.
Step 10: Add the flour and stir until well mixed. Cook for about a minute.
Step 11: Turn the heat up to medium, then add the Worcestershire sauce and chicken broth. Scrap the bottom to get the brown bits.
Step 12: Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Step 13: Add salt if necessary.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
