Ingredients:
MAKE FIRST SET ASIDE
1/4 cup strawberries pureed and strained
CAKE
2 1/2 stick butter, softened
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 4 ounces package strawberry jello
5 extra-large Eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons strawberry extract
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups milk
1/4 cup pureed strawberry, strained
1 1/2 cups chopped strawberries
FROSTING
1 can Pillsbury cream cheese frosting
1 1/2 package (4ounces) strawberry jello
1 teaspoon strawberry extract
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 162 degrees C or 325 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray and sprinkle flour in a 10-inch tube pan.
Step 3: In a mixing bowl, add the butter and sugar. Beat until well blended.
Step 4: Add eggs gradually and beat every addition.
Step 5: Add strawberry and vanilla extracts. Stir until well mixed.
Step 6: In another mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 7: Transfer the mixture together with milk into the wet ingredients and beat until well mixed.
Step 8: Add the strawberry puree and jello. Beat until just mixed.
Step 9: Add the chopped strawberries and stir until well mixed.
Step 10: Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly on the bottom.
Step 11: Place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until done.
Step 12: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
To Make the Glaze:
Step 1: Heat the cream cheese inside the microwave for about a minute.
Step 2: Add the jello and extract into the bowl with the cream cheese. Stir until well mixed.
Step 3: Spread the glaze on top of the cooled cake.
Step 4: Serve and enjoy!
