Ingredients:
Cookie Layer:
½ c butter softened
½ c light brown sugar
¼ c white sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 large Egg
1 ¼ c all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 c semisweet chocolate chips
Brownie Layer:
1 c white sugar
½ c butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Eggs
⅓ c cocoa powder
½ c all-purpose flour
¼ tsp baking powder
⅛ tsp salt
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add the light brown sugar, softened butter, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1/4 c of white sugar. Beat until well combined.
Step 4: Add an egg and beat until well combined.
Step 5: Add salt, baking soda, baking soda, and flour. Whisk until well combined.
Step 6: Add the chocolate chips and stir until well mixed.
Step 7: Transfer the dough into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly on the bottom.
Step 8: In a mixing bowl, add butter, sugar, and vanilla. Stir until well blended.
Step 9: Add 2 eggs and beat until well combined.
Step 10: Add cocoa powder into the bowl with the butter mixture and beat until well blended.
Step 11: Add baking powder, flour, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
Step 12: Spread the batter on top of the cookie dough.
Step 13: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Step 14: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Step 15: Slice it into small bars.
Step 16: Serve and enjoy!
