Ingredients:
1/2 c honey
1/4 c soy sauce
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp cornstarch
1-lb large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed if desired
2 tbsp butter
2 c chopped broccoli
1 tsp olive oil
salt pepper
Directions:
Step 1: Add the soy sauce, ginger, honey, red pepper, and garlic into a mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
Step 2: In another mixing bowl, add the prepared shrimp, then pour about 1/3 of the marinade sauce. Toss until well coated. Allow the shrimp to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 3: Add cornstarch into the bowl with the remaining sauce and whisk until well blended.
Step 4: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 5: Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 6: Add the broccoli. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then sauté for about 5 minutes or until tender. Remove from the pan to a clean plate.
Step 7: In the same skillet, add butter and allow it to melt.
Step 8: Add the shrimp only and cook per side for 2 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 9: Add the sauce and allow the mixture to simmer.
Step 10: Add the cooked broccoli and toss until well coated.
Step 11: Serve over pasta or rice and sprinkle green onions on top.
Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
