This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I remember my grandma used to cook this spectacular dish all the time! I am so grateful to her for a lot of things including this one. Now, let me share it with you! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons bacon drippings
3 small onions, diced
3 (15 oz.) cans of white beans
1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 lb. ground beef
3 (15 oz.) cans of pork and beans
3 (15 oz.) cans of kidney beans
3 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 c ketchup
1 c light brown sugar
1/2 c molasses
Directions:
1. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
2. Add the ground beef, then cook until crumbly and brown. Discard any accumulated fat.
3. Drain the beans, then rinse them with water.
4. In a crockpot, add the beans, onions, and brown beef, and the rest of the ingredients.
5. Cover the pot and cook for about 4 hours on a high setting or 8 hours on a low setting.
6. Serve hot and enjoy!
Note:
Make sure to use a large pot for this recipe.
