With tender meat, broccoli, and rich sauce, this Crazy Good Beef and Broccoli are to die for! Serve it over rice, and you have yourself a meal to remember! This will be the best decision you will ever make today; I’m telling you. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 tbsp cooking oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c beef broth
1 lb. flank steak, sliced into 1/4-inch-thick strips
3 c small broccoli florets
2 tbsp corn starch
Sauce:
1/4 c brown sugar
2 tsp cornstarch
1/2 c low-sodium soy sauce
Directions:
1. Add the beef slices and cornstarch into a mixing bowl, then toss until well combined.
2. Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
3. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
4. Add the beef slices, then cook each side for a few minutes until they turn brown. Move the seared beef onto a clean plate.
5. In the same pan, add garlic and broccoli. Sauté the garlic until aromatic.
6. Pour in the beef broth, then stir until well blended. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the pan to get the browned bits.
7. Simmer the broccoli for 10 minutes or less until tender. (Remember not to overcook the broccoli.)
8. Meanwhile, add all the ingredients for the sauce into a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
9. Put the beef slices back into the pan.
10. Add the sauce, then stir until well mixed.
11. Simmer everything for another 5 minutes or until the texture of the sauce becomes thick.
12. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes:
I suggest you use thinly sliced flank steak for this recipe.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave.
