Ingredients:
3 tsp cinnamon
1 c (2 sticks) of butter
1 ½ c sprite or citrus soda
2/3 c brown sugar
2 8 oz. refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 15 ounces canned peaches, drained
vanilla ice cream, for serving
2/3 c granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
2. Apply cooking spray to the inside of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
3. Split the crescent dough into individual triangles.
4. Lay 2 slices of peach at the bottom of the triangle. Top it with a bit of cinnamon, then roll the dough around. Put it into the prepared baking dish. Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
5. In a large heat-proof bowl, add 2 sticks of butter. Place the bowl inside the microwave and heat until the butter has melted completely. Remove from the microwave.
6. Add the rest of the cinnamon, brown sugar, and white sugar into the bowl with the melted butter. Stir everything until well blended.
7. Pour the butter mixture on top of the dumplings and spread it evenly.
8. Course sprite around the dumplings in the baking dish. Make sure not to pour over them.
9. Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake the Peach Dumplings for about 30 to 35 minutes or until the top turns a bit brown.
10. Remove from the oven and allow the dumplings to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
11. Top each serving with vanilla ice cream.
12. Serve and enjoy!
