If you love pie and bread like me, then you are in for a treat! This Easy Pecan Pie Bread Pudding will satisfy your sweet tooth! You need this in your life! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step, and you are good to go! I am sure that you and your family are going to have a good time with this amazing treat! What I love about this is the texture. It has a bite and is very creamy on the inside. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
5 Eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
½ c butter, melted
3½ c whole milk
1 c sugar
1 ½ c of brown sugar
1 loaf day-old French baguette
1 ½ c of shelled pecan halves
Directions:
1. Slice the bread into small pieces and put them at room temperature for an hour.
2. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
3. In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and beat until creamy.
4. Add vanilla, milk, and sugar into the bowl with the beaten egg. Whisk until well incorporated.
5. Add the slices of bread into a baking pan, then pour the egg mixture over. Let the bread slices soak.
6. In a mixing bowl, add melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until well blended.
7. Add pecans and stir again until just mixed.
8. Pour the butter and pecans mixture on top of the soaked bread, then slowly fold.
9. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 55 minutes.
10. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
11. Serve and enjoy!
Note:
Yesterday’s bread is perfect for this recipe. Old bread soaks well compared to new ones.
