This Peach Dump Cake is a family favorite! I always make sure to serve this whenever my relatives come over. It reminds us of the good old days! This recipe is very easy to prepare. Just follow these steps for they will guide you to perfection. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 c unsalted butter
2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
29 oz. canned sliced peaches, in juice
1 c whole milk
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 1/2 c granulated sugar, divided
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
Add butter into a heat-proof bowl, then place it in the microwave and heat for about a minute or until melted completely.
Add salt, 1 cup sugar, flour, and baking powder into the bowl with the melted butter. Whisk until well blended. Add vanilla and milk, then whisk again until well incorporated.
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Lay the peaches on top of the batter and arrange them around the pan. Pour the juice into a mixing bowl.
In the bowl with the peach juice, add nutmeg, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Whisk until well blended.
Pour the juice mixture on top of the peaches. Make sure to cover them entirely.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake the batter for about an hour or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven.
Top each serving with a scoop of ice cream.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to use fresh, canned peaches for this recipe.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them in the fridge.
