Ingredients:
¼ teaspoon paprika
Salt, to taste
¼ c flour
½ teaspoon onion powder
3 tbsp olive oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
4 pork chops
Gravy:
1/3 c half and half
¼ tsp dried thyme
¼ tsp dried sage
2-3 drops of Kitchen Bouquet, optional
¼ tsp dried rosemary
1 beef bouillon cube or 1 tsp better than bouillon
4 tbsp Butter
1 tsp low sodium soy sauce, can sub-Worcestershire sauce
2 c chicken broth
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
4 tbsp Flour
Directions:
Sprinkle salt over the pork chops, then rub each until fully coated. Let them rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Wrap each pork chop with a saran, then use a meat mallet to gently pound it.
Add garlic powder, onion, paprika, and flour into a bowl. Whisk until well incorporated.
In another bowl, add chicken broth, seasonings, beef bouillon, and soy sauce. Stir until well blended.
Use paper towels to pat dry the pork chops. Toss them into the bowl with the flour mixture to coat. Remove excess flour.
Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the coated pork chops in batches, then sear each side for about 2 minutes or until they turn golden brown. Move them to a clean plate and repeat with the rest of the uncooked pork chops.
To Make the Gravy:
In the same empty pan over medium-high heat, add butter and let it melt. Add flour, then whisk and cook for about a minute.
Add the broth mixture and half & half, then stir until well blended. Simmer and allow the mixture to become thick.
Turn the heat down to medium-low, then toss in the pork chops until fully coated with the gravy.
Cover the pan with the lid, then cook the pork chops for additional 10 minutes.
