There are many ways to cook chicken, but one thing is certain. It should be well-seasoned! This recipe will help you with that! This marinade recipe is my favorite! It has a very simple set of ingredients! Ready in just an hour, this is surely a must-try! Don’t forget to read the notes below for some cooking suggestions. Happy cooking!
Ingredients:
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp lemon zest
3 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 c olive oil
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, chopped
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp fresh parsley leaves, chopped, plus more for garnish
2 tsp minced garlic
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the marinade. Whisk everything until well blended. Add about 2 lbs. of chicken thighs, then toss until completely covered.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, then place it in the fridge. Marinate the chicken thighs for an hour or overnight. (I highly suggest marinating the chicken overnight for the best taste.)
Remove the chicken from the bowl with the marinade.
Cook the chicken according to your liking. Enjoy!
Notes:
To Cook the Marinated Chicken Thighs:
Oven:
Prepare the oven and preheat it to 400 degrees F.
Place the chicken thighs onto a baking pan. Make sure to leave a small space between each thigh.
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake the chicken thighs for about 20 to 25 minutes or until cooked through.
Grill:
Preheat the grill to 400 degrees F.
Place the chicken thighs over the grill, then cook for about 6 to 7 minutes on each side.
