This dessert tastes exactly like caramel apple, but is so much easier to make!
Jazz up your Halloween or holidays with these sliced green apples drizzled in caramel and topped with chocolate chips and more! This dessert is an excellent option if you are looking for a delightful treat to use up fresh apples. My kids enjoy this dessert, and they ask for it again and again! I don’t mind my little ones getting their tiny fingers dirty with the gooey caramel! Plus, this dessert is a great way for them to eat fruits, especially my picky eaters.
This recipe is an easy way to make zero mess! A fun and simple twist on the traditional caramel apple that I am obsessed with. And the kids get to use their favorite toppings, such as mini chocolate chips. This dessert is not your on-the-go treat, but a simple and beautiful plate of dessert that everyone can grab a couple of slices!
Ingredients
1 jar Caramel Ice Cream Topping
1 package of Mini Chocolate Chips
3-4 Green Apples I like Granny Smith
Various Toppings of your choice
1 package Heath Bar Pieces – chocolate chip bags
How to make Caramel Apple Nachos
Step 1: Using a round apple slicer or by hand, slice the apples into “nacho” type pieces. Then, add them to a plate or platter.
Step 2: On top, drizzle the caramel topping. For a warmer topping, I recommend heating it in the microwave following the package directions.
Step 3: Before serving, top with your preferred toppings such as chocolate chips, Heath Bar Pieces, etc. Enjoy!
