I love gingerbread, but hate the time-consuming process and oftentimes failed results. Not with this recipe. This is a very simple, straightforward gingerbread recipe that guarantees superb results! Enjoy the holiday flavors and taste of your favorite without the fuss.
INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. butter – softened
1 tsp vanilla
¼ c. molasses
½ c. sour cream
½ c. milk
1 tsp baking soda
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
4 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
½ tsp ground cloves
Powdered sugar for dusting
½ tsp salt
How to make Mini Spiced Gingerbread Loaves
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Ready a 6-cup mini loaf pan. Grease and set aside.
Step 2: Place the brown sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl. Cream until fluffy. Then, add the molasses along with the eggs and vanilla. Mix well until combined. Next, pour in the milk and add the sour cream. Beat well until blended.
Step 3: Into the mixing bowl, add the flour along with the baking soda, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Mix well until incorporated.
Step 4: Into the prepared mini loaf tins, evenly spoon the batter. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the bread comes out clean.
Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and allow the loaves to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan. Then, invert on a wire rack.
Step 6: If desired, dust the loaves with powdered sugar.
