Chocolate crinkles are my favorites! They are great to serve on any occasion. Fudgy, chocolatey, and the best chocolate crinkle cookies that are almost like brownie cookies!
These cookies are the fudgiest and chocolate-iest you’ll ever have, and I recommend washing them down with a tall glass of milk! Make sure not to skip this recipe, it’s a must, especially for all the chocolate lovers out there!
Ingredients
4 large eggs
1 ⅔ c. all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 stick unsalted butter, 1/2 c.
4 ounces of unsweetened chocolate
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ c. granulated sugar
Powdered sugar for rolling the cookies, about 1 c.
⅓ c. unsweetened natural cocoa powder
How to make Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Step 1: Place the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well until combined and set aside.
Step 2: Melt the butter with unsweetened chocolate in a small pot over medium-low heat. Mix often, until melted, then take off the heat.
Step 3: Whisk the eggs and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Next, add the melted chocolate mixture and stir again. To the wet mixture, slowly add the flour mixture, stirring until just blended.
Step 4: Using plastic wrap, tent the bowl and place it in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Step 5: Prepare the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees F. Using a silicone mat or parchment paper, line a baking sheet. In a bowl, place about 1 cup of powdered sugar.
Step 6: Scoop the dough using a small cookie scoop and shape it into balls. Then, roll each ball in powdered sugar. On the prepared baking sheet, place the cookies about 2 inches apart.
Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake the cookies for about 16 to 20 minutes.
Step 8: Remove from the oven when done and allow the cookies to cool on the pan.
