How to make The Best Bread Pudding
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees. Using nonstick cooking spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Into 1 to 2-inches squares, cut the bread and place the pieces into a large bowl.
Step 3: Combine the milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl until well blended. Over the bread, pour the mixture. Gently stir to coat the bread pieces and set aside for about 20 minutes to soak the bread.
Step 4: Into a baking dish, spread the mixture. Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven until the middle is set.
Step 5: Place the sugar, flour, and heavy cream in a saucepan. Mix well until blended. Then, add the butter and heat further over medium heat until the butter has melted and the mixture begins to boil.
Step 6: Stir the mixture until a little thickened, then take the pan off the heat. Add the vanilla and mix well.
