I like overstuffing my cream puffs. You can add a little if desired. My kids love the cream, and I know your kids will do, too. So I suggest you double the cream. I promise it’s going to be worth it!
To make these fun and delicious pumpkin cream puffs, all you need are just simple ingredients, most of which I’m sure you already have on hand. The steps are pretty straightforward, you can make these pumpkin cream puffs without any fuss.
Ingredients
4 eggs
1 stick butter
1 cup flour
1 c. water
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pumpkin Whipped Cream:
⅓ cup pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 cup heavy cream
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How to make Pumpkin Cream Puffs
Step 1: Bring the water along with the butter and vanilla to a boil. Once boiling, add the flour.
Step 2: Whisk perpetually until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot and shapes into a ball. Set aside to cool.
Step 3: Add the 4 eggs, one at a time, beating well each addition until smooth.
Step 4: Onto parchment-lined cookie sheets, drop the mixture by tablespoon. Place in the oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
Step 5: Remove from the oven and allow the puffs to cool before filling them with pumpkin whipped cream.
Pumpkin Whipped Cream:
Step 6: Beat the cream and sugar until soft peaks form. Then, add the vanilla and cinnamon. Lastly, fold in the pumpkin.
