How to make Oreo Dirt Cake
To make the Cake:
Step 1: As directed on the package, prepare the cake and bake. Take the cake out of the oven when done and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Evenly poke holes into the cake using the back of a spoon.
Step 3: In the microwave, warm up the hot fudge until it is thin enough to pour. Over the cake, evenly pour the hot fudge, letting it seep into the poked holes.
Step 4: Set the cake aside until completely cooled.
PUDDING LAYER:
Step 5: Whisk the chocolate pudding mix with the milk in a medium bowl.
Step 6: Pour this immediately over the cooled cake before the pudding sets completely.
Step 7: Into the fridge, place the cake and let it chill for about 20 minutes.
TOPPING:
Step 8: Place the last package of pudding mix with milk in a medium bowl. Mix well until blended.
Step 9: In the fridge, place the bowl for about 10 minutes until completely set.
Step 10: Take the bowl out of the fridge and fold in the thawed cool whip.
Step 11: Add about 3/4 of the crushed Oreos and mix well. On top of the cake, evenly spread the pudding mixture.
Step 12: On top of the cake, sprinkle the rest of the crushed Oreos. Or keep the cake in the fridge until ready to serve.
