Simple and delicious! This Air Fryer Grilled Cheese is a family favorite! The bread is perfectly toasted with melted cheese. This is a classic sandwich that pairs well with a lot of different side dishes for a scrumptious meal. For a kid-friendly, fun family dinner, I like serving this Air Fryer Grilled Cheese with French fries and tater tots.
Ever since I got my air fryer, I have been trying out air fryer recipes. The best part of the air fryer is even the kids can use it! We love grilled cheese, and to be able to make it in the air fryer makes life so much easier!
The bread toast beautifully in the air fryer. And all you need to make this quick and satisfying snack or meal is just three simple ingredients! I use either butter or mayo because they both are so good!
This recipe is also very versatile. Like the regular grilled cheese we make on the stove, you can also modify the ingredients to suit your taste. If you want to reduce calories and fat, you can swap butter with a light spray of olive oil. You are also welcome to use different bread and cheeses. And why not try to add bacon and mustard to the sandwich?
Ingredients
3 tbsp butter could also use mayonnaise
4 pieces of sandwich bread
4 slices cheese – I used 2 cheddar and 2 Havarti
How to make Air Fryer Grilled Cheese
