Antipasto Squares are an amazing lunch and an easy & fun appetizer. These delicious Antipasto Squares are like a baked Italian sub with layers of provolone cheese, ham, salami, and pepperoni sandwiched in between sheets of crescent dough. Crazy good, cheese, and slightly gooey.
These Antipasto Squares are not only a delicious lunch or dinner option, but also a perfect grab-and-go party food when cut into smaller squares.
Another thing I love about this Antipasto Squares recipe is this is incredibly versatile. Easily customize this to your liking. If you prefer a thinner, lighter crust, you are welcome to use puff pastry sheets. The insides of these Antipasto Squares are also entirely modifiable.
2 (8 ounces) cans of refrigerated crescent rolls or crescent sheet
¼ lb. thinly sliced pepperoni
¼ lb. provolone slices
¼ lb. thinly sliced deli ham
¼ lb. thinly sliced salami
¼ lb. Swiss cheese slices
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon basil pesto
1 (12 ounces) jar of roasted red peppers, drained and cut into strips
HOW TO MAKE ANTIPASTO SQUARES
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Using cooking spray, lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Step 2: In the meantime, unroll a package of refrigerated crescent rolls. Into the bottom of the prepared pan, press the refrigerated crescent roll.
Step 3: On top of the dough, layer the ham, Swiss cheese, salami, provolone cheese, pepperoni, and red peppers.
Step 4: Next, unroll another can of refrigerated crescent rolls, then lay it over the peppers, pressing the seams to seal.
Step 5: Combine the eggs, Parmesan cheese, and pesto. Then, pour this on top of the crescent rolls. Using aluminum foil, tent the pan.
Step 6: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes. Then, remove the cover and continue baking for another 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and slice into squares. Enjoy!
