These biscuits are the perfect side of any meal! They are savory, buttery, and cheesy. It’s going to be hard to resist these flaky freakylicious bacon cheese biscuits! Transform your traditional biscuits into savory, cheesy individual-sized bread by adding in bacon, cheese, and some green onions. This can be a perfect breakfast or brunch, too. Just add scrambled eggs on the bottom then the layer of bacon and cheese.
In my house, bacon and cheese is a must. So this recipe has been my go-to and it is super easy and quick to make which is a plus point for a busy bee like me.
2 cans of crescent rolls (you can use biscuits too)
Cheese (Whatever type you like)
12oz or 16oz package of bacon, cooked
flour for dusting (optional)
HOW TO MAKE BACON CHEESE BISCUITS
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Use a non-stick cooking spray to grease your baking sheet and set aside.
Step 3: And flour your work surface a little.
Step 4: On your work surface, unroll one can of crescent roll or half can of biscuits. Press the seams together with your hands or rolling pin. Then, lightly press and stretch the roll a little to form a rectangle.
Step 5: For the first layer, sprinkle the cheese and top with bacon.
Step 6: Then, unroll the other can of the crescent roll and place it on top of the cheese and bacon layer. Press the seams to close.
Step 7: Slice the biscuit into squares with either a pizza cutter or a knife.
Step 8: Transfer the squares on the prepared baking sheet making sure that the slices are touching each other.
Step 9: Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the top of the crescent rolls are mildly browned.
Step 10: Once done, remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool for at least 3 to 5 minutes on a wire rack. Enjoy!
